The Shamisen is a traditional Japanese instrument that resembles a guitar. Grandfather Sawamura Setsu, who raised him and his older brother Wakana, has recently passed away. Grandfather Setsu was a great Shamisen player, and the two brothers grew up listening to his playing and learned how to play the instrument.
